How many players play Volleyball?

Volleyball is a sport in which two teams, typically with six players each, use their hands to hit a ball back and forth over a high net to get it inside their opponent’s playing area before returning it. To avoid this, a player on the opposing team bats the ball up and toward a teammate before it reaches the court. That teammate can then volley the ball across the net or bat the ball to a third teammate, who volleys it across. A team can only touch the ball three times before it must be returned over the net.
